Notre Dame for 1 year - good or bad?

I think the ACC exodus possibility is pretty slim. For The real BE ( ) I would love to have ND for a year. Quality teams in most sports, strong for TV and fan base, good relations with a top level program AND the ACC, since we'd be helping a member bridge into their conference. Couldn't hurt scheduling in the future, and some additional revenue since it wouldn't be done for free. What would be the downside for the BE?

And if I'm wrong and the ACC starts bleeding, ND's old friends would be there with open arms!

If the Irish could get out of the 'old' Big East, why wouldn't they go ACC right away?

Domers would be great 1 year or 2 year... I think a new team announcement might be held up pending the Irish if the C7 think its really a possibility.

I just don't like Swarbrick's attitude.

"If the Catholic 7 is leaving and forming its own conference for next year, they could certainly call us to want to explore our options," Swarbrick said Friday. "And if they were interested in accommodating us, it would certainly be a viable option. We have a lot of respect for those schools and know them well."

Wouldn't we be doing them the favor? Why the hell should we accommodate them? For one year? I'll pass thanks.
