For that to happen we would need the A10 and AAC to absolutely drop the ball. If UConn falls off the map with the new coach, and Cincinnati and Temple have a down year that would help. Lasalle failing to keep their momentum and a few other A10 teams not living up to potential would also be of great assistance (though I won't root against Dayton, SLU, Richmond, or VCU). It wouldn't hurt to have Kentucky and Texas have another bad season either, and some other power teams falling off. We would also have to absolutely dominate the non-conference play.

But Temple has only 2 of its top 7 players back and is in complete rebuilding mode with a poor recruiting class. Cincy is in better shape but they have to replace 3 starters so they will be in transition. LaSalle will also be rebuilding and will not be a factor this year.
The Big East is 7 deep and is in great shape. Probably no Final Four team this year but the conference will be very strong .

7 can happen. A-10 will be LUCKY to get more than 1 at large this year, so there's a couple bids back in the pool. I'd bet on 5 Big East Bids, but more would not shock me in the least. The bottom of this league is better than all of the A-10.
There are a lot of good teams in the Big East, and it will be great basketball. Over 50% of the Big East? It could happen, and I wouldn't be shocked. I'd be more shocked if the Dumpster Fire gets more than 3 teams in this year. That's good for Big East business.

I know of no Marquette fans who would like to see " Texas have another bad season".
