Rank the 12 schools in value to the new league

Use historical importance, past NCAA success, current status, location/TV market, whatever. Here's my list and I'm not sure anyone could argue the bottom 2 are the bottom 2. Using that scale, if the league only goes to 10 that is who should be in/out.

1) Georgetown
2) Villanova
3) St. Johns
4) Marquette
5) Xavier
6) Butler
7) Creighton
8) Seton Hall
9) Providence
10) DePaul
11) SLU
12) Dayton

I'd probably put Dayton ahead of SLU, SLU would be last IMO. Maybe Depaul should be a little higher too, I know they USE to be pretty good.

DePaul should be higher in theory but they are a Big East afterthought. You could flip flop SLU and Dayton but there's no arguing the Top 4 and probably not the Top 8.

Sorry, Dayton is not ahead of Creighton. We've been to the NCAA's more times (17), have a larger fan base (17,000 a game), better facilities (NBA arena). Not totally sure about academics but we probably win there too. Seton Hall has been to only like 8 NCAAs, one final four I dont think makes up for 9 more appearances by Creighton.

This thread can't possibly end well. We're measuring phallus size here.

Having said that, PC has 2 FF's and 2 E8's.

And no one under 40 knows who the Friars are. But they all know Gonzaga. And they all know McDermott. Providence is riding coattails and everyone knows it.

All-Time Tourney
Seton Hall - 1 FF; 15-9 (.625%)
Creighton - 0 FF; 10-18 (357%)
Dayton - 1 FF; 14-16 (.467)

The fact that SHU and Dayton has competed against better competition and compiled a better tourney record while making FF's is why I gave them the edge. Of course these boards are all about opinions. In 2013, you are correct to say that Creighton is better than both SHU and Dayton. But it didn't ask just for 2013 did it?
