Is Seton Hall's 2014 class...

Postby Friarfan2 » Thu Sep 19, 2013 2:56 pm

Is Seton Hall's 2014 class a program changer, like when Jay Wright went to nova and pulled that 2002 class with foye, ray, sumpter and Fraser?

Or is it like Andre Barrett and Eddie Griffin back in 2000?

It is a great class on paper. I have to take back a lot of what I said about the direction they are heading. Lets see if they can capitalize.

Good for the Pirates! I still hate Michigan for you guys. :)
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

The 2000 class was just as highly regarded, maybe better. You should know better than to claim to be back. I, not claiming providence is back just because of recruiting.

Lets hope you are right though.

Nobody's claiming that Terry Dehere, Jerry Walker, Mark Bryant, John Morton, Ramone Ramos & Adrian Griffin are walking through "that" door...we're just saying back from the dead. Just like Depaul fans would say if (when!) they sign Cliff Alexander....

Hating causes wrinkles dude...bye bye!

It could absolutely be a program changer if all pans out in the win / loss column. What it does in the very short term is shows that Seton Hall can bring in the big recruit - which is very important in the rebuilding process. It's a good get for the Hall and a good get for the Big East. And the fact that football schools like Indiana and Pitt were in the running is very, very nice.

"That" is one hell of a door.

I'm hearing that Whitehead's HS coach is going to SHU as part of the deal? Is this sketchy? Some are grousing on the PC boards about it a little but saying it is legal technically. Whatever good for the BEast and SHU.

Per Jerry Carino from NJ HoopsHaven & Politi from the Newark Star-Ledger:

"It's within the rules RT "@StevePoliti: don't care if Willard gave kid's coach, momma, history teacher, driver & barber a job to get it done."
