If the rumors are true that B7 want to start off with 10 teams and later go 12 then this is the best way to go. I rather they take their time and evaluate which 11th and 12th members will make this conference even stronger! Its no secret that the College world is waiting to see what the court ruling will be in regards to Maryland's exit fee from the ACC? When this happens, and if the fee is not 50 million, you can be sure that the ACC is going to get raided like there is no tomorrow! There might be two ways of thinking here. First, Perhaps the B7 want to see what happens when the ACC get hit, which schools are left without a conference home that might join the Big East. Second, perhaps they need more time to add another partner for Gonzaga out west? Either way, I rather the Big East Conference take their time and make sure they get it right the first time around. I know some posters from another thread mentioned about the possibility of BYU joining Gonzaga. I have one better, why not Add UNLV to partner up with Gonzaga. I think we can all agree that we all have a better chance of hitting the Power Ball than UNLV joining a BCS conference. Having UNLV, Gonzaga, Butler, Xavier, and Creighton would make the Big East Conference a power house from the West Coast, Midwest all the way to the East! Also, having two teams coming out west also have their advantages. This will no doubt increase the conference Television exposure in the Eastern and Western time zones. And, it will no doubt help the conference as a whole when it comes to recruiting which is important for all teams involved. I am sure something can be worked out where both Gonzaga and UNLV will be members of the Big East Conference as basketball only members. This is something the Big East might be thinking about?
