there is no Hockey or baseball here in Louisville either... Actually this week there is no college basketball either and that is in Louisville, KY. The number 1 sporting event in the world is this Saturday; You wont' hear about anything other than horses till monday here.

BillEsq, are you going to Derby? I'm making the trip from DC. I'm ready for a pretty good time, that is if that forecasted rain goes away.

its dead silence everywhere... just see the Seton Hall job openings listings if you need proof.... look under Athletic Director... odd thing is since Shupirate posted the Seton Hall rumor he's been quiet too another likely victim to the BE mafia.

When Rammer won't answer Big East questions, that's a sign. Of what, I don't know.

Nobody messes with Rammer.... if Rammer talked about the BE expansion... not even the BE mafioso could silence him....

We had a ref mess with Rammer this year. Rammer showed mercy on his soul.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

Oh don't loose your faith in the Louisville Bats this early in the season.

Oh i love the bats $1 beer thursdays. Plus UofL has an awesome stadium and a good Div 1 squad

However... there is this little thing they call the Kentucky Derby going on (really a two week celebration here) I highly recommend anyone who has never gone to a derby to go at least once. Seriously with Oaks on Friday from now until monday i doubt the papers will put any sports in other than Horseracing down here. I'll be having a few brews with some trainers tonight and will likely sign off until monday when i'm sure i'll find out that Slu is number 11-12 and that Bellarmine is an associate member. (insert emocon of your choice or not)

This article doesn't really say anything, seems like one person's opinion w/o quoting or even citing "sources."

I won't be at the Derby this weekend, but I will have a Mint Julip in honor of it.
