To be fair, it was alluding to the job Altman and McDermott did for the program. I didn't think it was a deliberate swipe at Creighton or the Big East. The story ends with this...

McDermott has kept it going. Now one of the nation's most consistent winning teams, the Bluejays have outgrown any mid-major label.

In March, they're about as big as it gets.
