No idea what happened to Creighton, but the season sure went in the tank after being ranked #1 in the country. Providence defeats CU 2-1 today in the first round of the Big East tourney.

Big East Soccer has been great this year. How many teams get into the NCAAs?

Latest bracketology at sports madness was 6 with St. John's the last team in and Butler being in the first four out. That's for a 48 team field.

Yeah we should get at least 5. Hopping for 6. Outside shot at 7, but unlikely.

I think: Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, Crieghton, and St. John's are safe based on their RPI all top 30.

Butler RPI 46 and Xavier RPI 48 are on the bubble with the normal cut off for an at large bid is 42. Need to root for no upsets in the conference tournaments. Butler will secure a bid with a win over Marquette. Though their RPI likely improves with just playing Marquette even if they lose. Going to PKs would really help if they have to lose as PK wins count as ties in terms of RPI so hurt less than normal losses.
